Editing a building allows you to update key details such as its name, address, floorspace, and activity attribution. This ensures your inventory remains accurate, especially when building records change or when activity data needs to be reassigned.
You can:
Correct or update the building name and address
Modify the activities attributed to the building
Adjust the floorspace and apply a new effective date
Keeping building details up to date improves the accuracy of reporting and ensures data is correctly grouped for emissions calculations and inventory evaluation.
Step-by-step instructions
Go to Assemble from the main menu.
2. Select Define Your Inventory from the Assemble options.
3. Use the search bar to locate the relevant Building Name
4. Edit the Building Name and Address by overwriting the existing values
5. To update floorspace, overwrite the existing value and set the Adjustment Date
