The net-zero pathways tool provides initial feedback on whether a given set of interventions would help keep the area within its carbon budget or achieve net-zero. To dive deeper into the results, we can publish the pathway to a workspace which offers a more detailed view of the pathway and its interventions.

Publishing a pathway to a workspace gives you access to four boards:

  • Pathways overview: compares all scenarios at a holistic level to give you an understanding of which pathways meet either of the goals of staying within the carbon budget or achieving net-zero by a certain year.

  • Stationary energy: dives deeper into the outcomes of the intervention areas that impact building emissions.

  • Transport: dives deeper into the outcomes of the intervention areas that impact transport emissions.

  • Waste: dives deeper into the outcomes of the intervention areas that impact waste emissions.

How to publish your pathway to a workspace

After creating a pathway, click "Export outputs" and select "Publish to workspace..."

Publishing to a new workspace

Begin by entering a name for the workspace.

Also enter a name for the scenario. Scenarios will allow you to compare multiple pathways at once, so name it something distinctive.

Publishing to an existing workspace

In order to compare multiple versions of a pathway, you can publish it to an existing workspace, either as a new scenario, or to replace a previously published scenario.

Select “Existing workspace” and then select the workspace you want to publish to in the searchable drop down.

You now have the choice of publishing the pathway as a new scenario or to replace an existing scenario. This dropdown is also searchable.

What's next

When the pathway has been successfully published to a workspace a notification will appear with a link that will take you to the workspace. Alternatively, you can find your new workspace in the workspaces list.
