Making sense of the Not Under Operational Control filter option in the Consumption Report

Operational control periods can be set on an asset or meter level to indicate whether an organisation has operational control over operating, health & safety, and environmental policies for a certain asset or part of it.

In Consumption Report, you have the option to Include, Exclude, or show Only the data for which the assets or meters are NOT under operational control for the selected period.

Include

Includes all data.

Exclude

Shows data for assets and meters that are under operational control for part of or the entire period selected.

Only

Shows data for assets and meters that are not under operational control for the entire duration of the period selected.

Note: meters inherit the operational control off periods of the asset they are associated with.

Example 1

Specified Period: 2013 -2014
Asset: Headquarters
Operational Control Off Period: 1 November 2013 to 30 November 2013

Meter: 239002883
Operational Control Off Period: 1 December 2013 to 31 December 2013

Include

All available meter data for asset Headquarters are displayed:

Exclude

Only

Only the November 2013 meter data and the December 2013 data for meter 239002883 are displayed:

Specified Period: 2013 -2014
Asset: Headquarters
Operational Control Off Period: None

Meter: 239002883
Operational Control Off Period: 1 December 2013 to 31 December 2013

Include

All available meter data for asset Headquarters are displayed:

Exclude

December 2013 data for meter 239002883 is excluded:

Only

No data is displayed — this is because asset Headquarters is under operational control the whole time of the specified period:
